Our team of community nurses is lead by Christine Patterson (BSc Community Nursing, Dip District Nursing, RGN, Dip Diabetes Management, Leg Ulcer Management, Nurse Prescriber). They provide nursing care for patients at home when necessary. They can be contacted directly on 01236 438391 between 9am – 10am and 2pm – 3pm.
We have an attached community midwife, Jackie Stevenson, who has an ante-natal clinic in the surgery every Thursday morning. She or one of her colleagues will also visit a mum at home following the birth of a new baby.
Community Psychiatric Nurses
CPNs are also part of the primary care team. They offer a full range of services promoting mental well-being. In most cases patients will be referred to the CPNs by a GP or other health care professional.
MacMillan Nursing Service
MacMillan nurses provide a wide range of services in the community to our patients and their carers who are coping with life-limiting illnesses. Contact can be made through a GP.
