If you are on long-term treatment, there will be a tear off request slip on the right hand side of your prescription. To obtain a further prescription please hand in the slip, indicating the items you wish renewed, to reception or your local chemist. You can also deposit your request slip in the post boxes in the foyer of Buchanan Centre or in the surgery waiting room.
On the request slip it will indicate how many times you can have the prescription renewed before having your medication reviewed by a GP or Practice Pharmacist. If there is medication on your repeat slip that you no longer take or require, please inform the doctor/receptionist/chemist in order that it can be discontinued.
You can register at the surgery for our web based repeat prescription ordering service. You will need proof of identity to register; you will then be given details of how to log into the system.
For regular medication that is not on repeat, and not an antibiotic, you can access the prescription line via telephoning the main surgery number and choosing option 1. It will ask you a number of questions including the name of the medication required and the pharmacy you would like to collect it from.
Prescriptions will be ready to collect in 48 hours (2 working days) from the surgery, please allow more time if you are collecting from your pharmacy.
